Carolyn Winkelman

Carolyn E. Winkelman of Eugene died Aug. 5 of pancreatic cancer. She was 73. A private family service is planned.

She was born June 20, 1936, in Fort Jones, Calif., to Dwight and Lois Curl Funk. She married Donald Winkelman on July 10, 1955, in Las Vegas.

She graduated from Medford High School in 1954. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Pinkerton of Oregon City; two sons, Donald of Milwaukie and Robert of Springfield; three brothers, Robert Funk and James Funk, both of Las Vegas, and Gerald Funk of Carson City, Calif.; a sister, Norma Drew of Union City, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her husband died May 21, 2005.

Burial will be in West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene. Arrangements by West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home. Remembrances to the American Cancer Society.
