Mrs. Benjamin Duke Choate, 89, St. Matthews Manor Nursing Home, died there at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday. She was the former Alleen Moran, a native of Louisville, and a member of the Crescent Hill and Louisville Woman's Clubs, the Crescent Hill Baptist Church and American Legion Auxiliary 15. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ellagarth Woodward and Mrs. Tonnie Althaus; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Pearson's, 149 Breckinridge Lane, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the memorial fund at Crescent Hill Baptist Church.
