Native of Jolo Dies in Bristol Fire
A Jolo native was burned to death Thursday morning in a fire which gutted a mobile home in Bristol, Tenn.
Authorities reported that Dennis F. Stacy, 20, of Bristol was pronounced dead on arrival at Bristol hospital.
According to police, Stacy has been living in Bristol for the past four months.
He was the son of Lee Stacy of Jolo and the late Bertha Rife Stacy.
Additional survivors include four sisters, Dorothy Reynolds of Bristol, Tenn., Gaye Rodgers of Jefferson, Ohio, Mrs. Josephine Stacy of High Point, NC, and Lorene Dale of Arlington, Va.; nine brothers, Otis, Howard, Terry, Coy, and Woodrow Stacy, all of Jolo, Roger Stacy of Raysal, Darrell Stacy of Yukon, Dennie and Curtiss Stacy, both of High Point, NC.
Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Mary Lou Regular Baptist Church on State Line Ridge, Rev. Freddie Dobbs will officiate. Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery on State Line Ridge. Friends will be pallbearers.
The body will be taken from the Fanning Funeral home in Iaeger to the home of his father in Jolo today at 3 p.m.
