Suggested edit: Funeral services for Herman C. Pitts, 42, were held at Hunsakers Funeral home here Saturday with Rev. M.E. Holt in charge. Pitts passed away, August 29, at Mesa, Ariz. He was born June 12, 1908, near Louisburg, Mo. His parents moved to Fairfax when he was 17 years old. He graduated from Fairfax school and later graduated from A&M at Stillwater. His father, Amos Pitts, passed away Jan. 31, 1936. His mother, Mrs. Vivian Pitts, passed away Dec. 14, 1945. Herman C. Pitts was a member of the First Christian church in Fairfax. He married Hildreth Gammon of Louisburg, July, 1947. He leaves to survive his his wife, Mrs. Hildreth Pitts, two sons by another marriage, Craig and Paul Pitts, both of Fairfax, two brothers, Linford Pitts of Oklahoma City and Neal Pitts of Stillwater, and several other relatives and friends of this vicinity.
