Funeral services for Stokes DeCalb Shaw, 87, a lifetime resident of Galveston county who died early Monday morning, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday at the J. Levy & Bro. funeral home. The Rev. Charles R. Smith, pastor of Broadway Baptist Church, officiating and assisted by Rev. Richard Steel, pastor of Port Bolivar Baptist Church and Mr. Shaw's grandson. Burial will be in Galveston Memorial Park.

Mr. Shaw was born Aug. 22, 1870, resided at 5-C Oleander Homes. Surviving are four sons, Artie D. and Stewart J. Shaw of Galveston, Earl G. and Ray C. Shaw of La Marque; four daughters, Mrs. Lois Steel and Mrs. Ruth Pansky of Galveston, Mrs. Gladys Skeen of Warwick, VA. and Leona Teitelbaum of Pompano Beach, Fla; a brother, Vernon Shaw of Houston; a sister, Mrs. Camilla Bora of Houston; 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ernest Stevenson, W. R. Ware, L. A. Ware, Will Thompson, Vivian Simpton and M. C. Shaw.
