PRIEUR, MARY FRANCES - Age 88, of Lennon, died Thursday, February 27, 1997 at her residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday March 5, 1997 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Swartz Creek, Fr. Amos Wischmeyer , celebrant. Interment in New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. A scripture service will be held 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Mrs. Prieur was born August 4, 1908 in Czechoslovakia and had lived in Flint for many years residing in Lennon for the past 15 years. She married Leonard Prieur in 1951; he preceded her in death July 15, 1992. Mary was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and was a leader in Girl Scouts (Fairwinds Council). She formerly owned and operated Sweet Maries. Surviving are: sister, Frances Palovich of Burton; niece, Barbara Hewitt of Burton; brothers-in-law, James Prieur of New Lothrop, Elmer Prieur of Chesaning, Charles Prieur of Fenton, Andrew and wife Doris Prieur of Spruce; sister-in-law, Margaret Garant of New Lothrop; her faithful canine companion, Poopsie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Hromcik and sister, Rosemary Hromcik.
