CRIMORA, May 4, Pvt. Samuel H. Diehl, son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Diehl, of Crimora, has been listed as killed in action, according to a message received today from the War Department.
Thurdsay his parents had received a message stating that he was missing in action. Pvt. Diehl was killed on April 15, while serving with the 90th Infantry Division of the First Army. He had been in Germany for two months.
After completing his training at Camp Blanding, Fla., he spent a furlough at home in February of this year. Pvt. Diehl was a graduate of New Hope High School class of 1943.
Besides his parents he is survived by the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Walter Dennison, of Grottoes, Misses Anna Belle and Audrey Diehl and Billy and Garland at home.
