William Lloyd Schultheis, called "Bill" by friends and family, was born on August 10, 1933 in the old hospital at Marietta, Washington, Ohio to Anna Marie (Frison) and Lloyd Klintworth Schultheis. He relocated to Oklahoma with his parents. His natural mother died while he was very young, but he was loved and tenderly reared by his father's 2nd wife, Martha Esther (Hunt) Schultheis. On Mother's Day each year Bill chose to wear two flowers in his lapel, one white for Anna Marie and one red for Martha Esther. This was his own idea and a practice he followed the rest of his life.

He graduated from Tulsa's Will Roger High School and the School of Business at the University of Tulsa. He was a member of Kappa Alpha social fraternity while in college. He was a Certified Public Accountant, working for various oil companies in Tulsa.

On 30 Dec 1956 he married Eugenia Maye "Jeannie" Reed at Fort Smith, Arkansas. They were the parents of two children, Amy Beth and William Lloyd Schultheis, Jr. Following their divorce Bill moved to Missouri to work first as office manager for a tractor implement business, then as an accountant/auditor for the University of Missouri at Columbia.

He died unexpectedly on Mar 7, 1998 in Columbia, Boone, Missouri. His remains are interred in Rosehill Cemetery, Tulsa. Also interred in this cemetery is his Great-Uncle William H. "Bill" Klintworth, for whom he was named.
