Pfc John DiGrazia of Ukiah, California graduated from Ukiah High School in 2008. Having already enlisted in the United States Army, John went directly basic training in Fort Knox, Kentucky where he graduated from the Armored Division Calvary in October 2008. He was awaiting his upcoming deployment to Iraq in August 2009. He is the son of Deborah and Dominic and is also survived by his sisters, Deia and Melissa and his brothers Matthew and Josh among others. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ione Smith, and his Aunt Judith Bremer and long time friend, Rachel Rose. John died at age 19 in his barracks at Fort Riley, Kansas.
