Obituary

Mrs. Lee Brown, whose home was in Jamestown, Kansas, passed away yesterday afternoon at 3:20 at the home of her brother, I.F. Gould. Mrs. Brown came here with her three children, about two weeks ago. Her husband, who was a section foreman on the Missouri Pacific railroad at Jamestown, had secured a position at North Platte, Nebra., as fireman on the Union Pacific railroad, and had gone there about a month ago. Mrs. Brown had packed the household goods and shipped them to North Platte, with the intention of making her home there. The work of moving and the attended worry proved too much for her health, and she was taken sick at North Platte. She came here to try and regain her health by a good rest. Mrs. Brown is well known in Beloit, and her untimely death comes as a great shock to her many friends here.

Florence Lucy Gould was born Oct. 16, 1887, at Jamestown, Kansas and died Dec. 31, at Beloit, Kansas. She was aged 30 years, 2 months and 15 days. Gould, of Jamestown; a sister, Mrs. Olive Nelson of Jamestown and five brothers, Webster, Arthur, Irving, Ben and Jay Gould, all of this city.

Mrs. Brown was an ardent worker in the M.E. church at Jamestown and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was also a member of the Eastern Star chapter at Jamestown.

Martin, after which the remains will be taken to Jamestown where services will be held over the remains at the M.E. church, conducted by the Rev. Mr. Parratt. These services will be in charge of the Eastern Star chapter. The interment will be made in the Jamestown cemetery. - Beloit Call.
