Funeral services for Mrs. Dora B. Butler will be at 3pm on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave. SW Aiken with Rev. Martha Vincent officiating. Interment will follow at Aiken Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 until the time of the service.

Mrs. Butler, 83, of Aiken, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at her residence.

A daughter of the late Ernest Buff and Lena Kneece Buff, she was a lifetime resident of Aiken County and a member of Breezy Hill Baptist Church. Before retiring in 1990, she was a production worker for Therm-O-Disc where she had worked for 14 years. Prior to that, she had worked as a teachers aid at Oakwood School.

She is survived by two sons; Ernest (Julie) Hall, Aiken and Jerry (Donna) Hall, Aiken, and five daughters; Debbie Burt, Aiken, Mary (Wayne) Leaphart, Aiken, Jelina Tindal, Aiken, Gail Franklin, Aiken and Patsy Steel. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
