Dale Was 39 Years old when he passed. I believe he died of a broken- Heart along with Empysema and Coronary-Artery Disease along the road-side while walking into town for a haircut. This was reported by the coroner(Cherry Hill, North Carolina)
I have many great memories of my father, such as the Davis Middle School Father/Daughter sock hop, where I wore toe socks and he wore Purple "Donny Osmond "Socks and we danced the night away . I was age 13. He taught me to drive at the age of 13. We used to take several camping trips, he loved old 1940's coupes and belonged to the "Forty-Ford "Elite car club. He loved to build and fly model airplanes and took my brother and I frequently to watch at the school down the street.
He taught me how to defend myself. and he made awesome Spaghetti, with just a Splash of "Red-Wine" in it. Delicious!
Dale loved music and we, as a family in the 1970's could be found often cruisin' down Old Pacific Highway, in Our Pontiac Le Mans Convertible with the music blasting the latest rock and roll sounds, four kids in the back, Mama Up front and all of us singing on our way to the beach or just a beautiful saturday drive up the coast.Dale had 23 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren had he lived to see them.
Dale Loved Paula, eternally. I think the divorce broke his heart entirely. He was never the same after that and died within 5 years of the divorce.
I do have great memories of you Dad. You raised me the first half of my life, and Terry E. Lyon( daddy/Papa) raised me the second half of my life. Funny she broke both of your hearts, and now you both lie in the very same cemetary at Riverside National Cemetary. I Miss you too Dad!Until we see eachother again, "This Old Heart, Daddy" I remember , do you?
Love you eternally,
Margaret-Anne Crill-Voisey
