Dwight "Buddy" Brooks age 67 of Pineville,passes away Thursday,2009,July,16
Born 1941,Aug,18,at Coon Fork,son of Edith Halsey Brooks of Pineville and the late Kelley William Brooks.
Buddy retired from Wyoming County Board of Education Maintenance Department in 2003 after 40 years of service.He was a lifelong resident of Wyoming County and a 1961 graduate of West Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind in Romney were he played football.He loved to hunt and fish,four-wheeling and watch drag racing,Buddy enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters most of all.
In addition to his father,he was preceded in death by a brother William "Billy" Brooks.
In addition to his mother,survivors include his wife of 45 years Carol Asbury Brooks;a son John Brooks of Pineville;a daughter,Elizabeth Kennedy and herhusband,Tom of Oceana:2 brothers,Myron Brooks and his wife,Dorthea of Louisville,KY and [Rev] David Brooks and his wife Pat of Shady Spring: 3 sisters,Christine Beymer and her husband Ray of Brooks,Barbara Mullins of Kernersville,NC and Cheryl Morgan and her husband,Woodie of Bailysville,and 2 granddaughters,Marrissa Brooks of Logan and Lindsey Kennedy of Oceana,WV.
