Olivia Frieda Gregor Goerlitz was born on January 1, 1917 in Brenham, Texas to August A. and Frieda (Fieseler) Gregor. She was raised in the Berlin community. She graduated from Brenham High School in 1935. On March 3, 1940 she was united in marriage to Frank C. Goerlitz in Berlin, Texas.
Olivia loved to work in her flower garden and enjoyed baking and reading. Most of all she enjoyed and loved her family. She was employed for several years at Bages Grocery Store as a clerk. Olivia was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church in Giddings.
Funeral services for Olivia Frieda Goerlitz, 92, of Giddings are scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Martin Luther Lutheran Church, Giddings, with Rev. Jeremy Walloch officiating. Burial will follow in Giddings City Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings.
