Meinard H. Doyen is the son of Harmon & Francis Elizabeth (Ritter) Doyen. He was born in Petersburg, IL. Meinard was married to Hilda Eilene Knoles in 1937 in Petersburg, IL and they had 4 children. He entered the service in February 1944 and on September 14, 1944 he was shot down and killed over France. He was in the U.S. Army, 115th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division.
