BICKNELL-Ruby Vale Privett, 90, Bicknell died at 5:25 a.m. CST Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003 at United Methodist Village in Lawrenceville, Ill.

Born March 9, 1912 in Stockett, Mont., she was the daughter of Alonza and Clara Eve (Justice) Vale.

She was a cook for Moore Nursing Home and Central Elementary School. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Bicknell.

She married William Riley Privett, Sr. Sept. 26, 1926 and he died Oct. 7, 1963. Four sisters and two brothers are also deceased.

Survivors include three sons, William Riley Privett, Jr. of Indianapolis, Donald E. (Dutch) Privett of Bicknell, Harold Lee "Monk" Privett of Greenwood; three daughters, Naomi Ruth Thompson of Bicknell, Doris Mae Korb of Solsberry and Wanda Rose Evans of Greenwood; two sisters, Thelma Pummell of Lawrenceville, Ill, and Betty Hogan of Greenwood; a brother, Robert Vale of Dayton, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Church of the Nazarene in Bicknell by the Rev. Charles Crouch. Burial will be in Bicknell Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Wampler-Shaw Funeral Home.
