Simuel Joseph Jackson was one of 25 children born to Mr. And Mrs Nero Jackson in Cappell County, Mississippi on August 12, 1893 his twin sister and all of his brothers and sisters preceded him in death. His father Nero Jackson lived to be 110 years old and he died 1930.

Simuel attended Alcorn University of Mississippi where he received a Bachelor of Science & Agricultural degrees. He also taught Math in schools in Arkansas and Gary, Indiana.


In 1927, he married Chrystal Lee King and to this union was born 5 children; Joseph, Lawrence, Martin, Lula, and Verna Mae Jackson (who died at 5 years old).


Simuel also worked for Inland Steel and The Southern Pacific Railroad and after retiring moved to Arizona in 1965. He dedicated his life to serve his God jehovah and symbolized this by water baptism on April 4, 1970. He remained a faithful worshipper as one of Jehovah's Witnesses until his death on October 31, 1993.


He is survived by three sons; Joseph Walter Jackson of Encino, CA, Lawrence Chester Jackson of Lompoc, CA, Martin Luther James Jackson of Phoenix, AZ; two daughters, Lula Mae Hawkins and Sherrieth Eileen Whitehead both of Phoenix, AZ; Thirty Three grandchildren, seventy-six great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and many loving friends.
