CLYDE C. LETBETTER


Funeral services for Clyde C. Letbetter, 51, of Conroe will be held in the Metcalf Guardian Chapel 10 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 1986, with the Rev. Dearing Jones officiating.

Interment will be in the Garden Park Cemetery with Metcalf Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Letbetter was born in Goldwaite, Texas on July 1, 1934 and passed away in Conroe on May 13, 1986. He was a member of The Evergreen Church and a graduate of Baylor University and was a member of the Baylor football team.

Survivors: wife, Laura Beth (Lancaster) Letbetter of Conroe; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Standey Burks of Conroe; parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Letbetter of Willis; two brothers, Johnny Letbetter of Tomball and Leonard Letbetter of Willis.


Pallbearers:Doyle Long, Chuck Devereaux, John Gay, Lloyd McGee, George McCray and Langston Boatman.

In 1958, Clyde Ledbetter represented Baylor University, playing on the South Squad, in the Senior Bowl. For his participation, Alabama Gov. Jim Folsom commissioned Dodd as an Honorary Admiral in the Alabama State Navy (Naval Reserves).
