Edward BALLENGER, 63, passed away Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at the home of his sister, Mrs. Frank WHITE, five and one-half miles northwest of Akron. Death resulted from heart trouble after an illness of but two days duration. Mr. Ballenger, who was a bachelor, had resided in the vicinity of Akron all of his life where he followed the occupation of farming. Edward, son of William and Delilah BALLENGER, was born on a farm near Akron, on December 2nd, 1866. The deceased was a member of the Akron Church of God. Survivors are: a sister, Mrs. Frank WAITE, of near Akron, and two brothers, Frank B. BALLENGER of this city and Allen B. BALLENGER of Athens. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Olive Bethel church in charge of Rev. F. T. STRONG, of LaPaz. Burial will be made in the Nichols cemetery.
