MRS. CLARENCE BLAKEMORE DEAD

Mrs. Clarence Blakemore died at the home of her mother, Mrs. Alice West at an early hour Tuesday, June 4th. She had been an invalid for more than a year, and while her death brings sadness to the home and friends her release from the discomforts of ill health brings sweet rest and God's everlasting home to her.

The deceased leaves to mourn her death a loving husband, two small children, her mother Mrs. Alice West, and two brothers. Rev. J. L. Brown came up from Vian and conducted the funeral service Wednesday afternoon. Interment will be at New Hope cemetery.

OBITUARY

Mrs. Kennie Blakemore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. West, was born at Evansville, Ark., August 3, 1890. Died June 4, 1918, age 27 years and 10 months. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. L. Brown, of Vian. Was married to Clarence W. Blakemore Dec. 29, 1912. Was converted at Evansville, Ark., at the age of seventeen, joined the Presbyterian church soon after and lived a Christian life until death. For the past three years the thread of life was daily waning but through all this unseemly suffering a true and noble hope prevailed until the scenes of earth were replaced with the transporting view of the "better country." Death to come to one so young seems most untimely but her times were in His hand and whatsoever He willed always seemed best to her.
