Victim of child abuse.

Our precious Emma Catherine Grace Thompson, 4, left this earth to be with her God on Saturday, June 27, 2009. Emma was a happy little girl who brought joy to her family and friends. She was born in Houston on March 29, 2005 to Benjamin Randolph and Abigail (Young) Thompson.


Emma is survived by her parents, Ben and Abigail Thompson and her sisters, Laura and Julia. She is also survived by her devoted paternal grandparents, Laurie and Jim Thompson, her loving maternal grandmother, Margie Routt Young; aunts and uncles Matthew Thompson and fianc/e Alicia Marks, Adam and Jennifer Thompson, David Thompson, Sam Thompson and Rachel Thompson; aunt and uncle Bob and Amanda Young Matthew; great-grandparents Bernice and Leonard Kuderna of New York and Mrs. Dagmar Thompson of Minnesota. She is pre-deceased by her grandfather Solon Young, great-grandparents Milton and Dorothy Ann Routt, Dr. George C. Thompson, Solon and Josephine Young.


Funeral services for Emma Catherine Grace Thompson will be held Friday, July 3, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 7810 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, Texas. Father Hanna, CSB will serve as presider. A private family burial service will be held in Prairie Lea Cemetery. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday evening at St. Ignatius Catholic Church.


Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Thompson, Adam Thompson, Jonathan Holbert and Eric Japp.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Emma's name can be made to the Houston Coalition for life or the Respect Life organization of your choice.


Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.
