Miriam Agnes "Mimi" Collins Grimes, 89, of Chippewa Township, passed away July 1, 2009, at the Beaver Valley Nursing and Rehab Center where she had been a resident for 10 months. Born Dec. 6, 1919, in Youngstown, Ohio, she was the only child of Joseph Richard and Anna Helena "Helen" Walsh Collins.
She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, St. Mary's Church in Beaver Falls.
She is survived by a daughter, Geraldine "Gerri" Grimes McAdams; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, C. Jerry Grimes, who died in 1990; and a son, Ronald Joseph Grimes, who died in 1988.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Lutton Chippewa Funeral Home, 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls.A prayer service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the church. The Rev. James B.
