York, mother of the late Patricia McMicken, both of Modesto, sister of Evelyn Faider of Rock Island Ill, grandmother of David McMicken, M.D. of Clovis and Linn Edith McMicken of Clovis. A native of Des Moines, IA, aged 89 years. Services Wednesday, August 29th at 10 a.m. in the Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Drive. Interment, Acacia Memorial park.

Mrs. York moved to Modesto in 1946. She was a native of IA. She taught school 20 years in IA and at Burbank School in Modesto. From 1957 to her death, she had owned and operated Yorks Antiques in Modesto.
Her husband, Charles, died July 17, and a daughter, Patricia McMicken of Modesto, died two years ago. She is survived by one sister, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
