MARTHA MAY WELLS DIES IN HOME NEAR HERE-
Martha May Wells, 65, a native of Texas died in her home south of Modesto early this morning. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Texas and had lived near Modesto for the past nine years. She leaves 13 children; Albert W. and Clarence Wells, Dorothy Lane and Josie Pope of Modesto, Ruby Lane, Tom, Claude and Robert Wells of Stockton, J. B. Wells and Mamie Owens of Arizona, Odell of New Mexico, Winnie Breeding and Bernice Scallorn of Texas; a sister, Fannie Stone of Texas, and a brother, Amos Weaver of Oklahoma. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11 A.M. in the Shannon Chapel. Rev. R. D. Morrow will officiate and interment will be in the Modesto Cemetery.
