Garrett Michael Trexler, 26, of Leavenworth, died Monday, June 29, 2009, in an automobile accident. He was born July 1, 1982, at the University of Kansas Hospital and lived all of his life in Leavenworth.



He is survived by his parents, Ron and Katie (Gorrell) Trexler of Leavenworth; his sister, Amy Trexler; his brother, Rob Trexler; his grandmothers, Mae Gorrell who he cherished and Jeanine Schultz; his aunts, Jayne Knight, Brenda Gorrell, Mary Brooks; his uncles, Rob Gorrell, Pat Trexler, Jerry Trexler; a cousin, Travis Kincaid; and many other cousins.



Garrett enjoyed music, sports, fishing, his family and most of all hanging out with friends. All though his life was short he made a huge and great impact on many peoples lives. Garrett worked at A-One Auto Repair and had hopes of furthering a career in automotive repair.



He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Bill Gorrell; his great-grandmother, Betty OnDeck; and his best friend,Chris Accord.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 3, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Alcoholics Anonymous.
