Todd Edward Foust, 27, went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 16, 2001. Todd was a native of Florence, Ala. He was a 1992 graduate of Mars Hill Bible School and the University of North Alabama in 1996. After graduation, Todd served as the territory manager in Tuscaloosa, Ala., with Eli Lilly and Co. He was then transferred with his wife back to Florence and was promoted to senior sales representative with Lilly.
While at Mars Hill, Todd was vice president of his senior class, Mr. Mars Hill Bilble School and an outstanding member of the Mars Hill basketball team under the leadership of David Willingham. At UNA, Todd was Mr. University, a member of the LaGrange Society and president of Sigma Chi fraternity. Todd found great joy with his brothers at UNA and always strived to be a Godly example for his friends.
Todd most recently served as the outreach captain of his Sunday school class at Highland Baptist Church. He was an upward basketball coach and enjoyed playing basketball and gold with his friends at a moment's notice. His deepest desire was for his relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to grow deeper daily. He was thankful for his Christian friends who encouraged him in his spiritual journey.
Todd is survived by his wife, Rachel Bobo Foust; parents, Ed and Glenda Foust; brother, Kevin and his wife, Jeanne; and nieces, Hannah and Abby.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Frank Foust and Roy Caver; and uncle, Ralph Bishop.
