LEE OTIS STACY
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday for Lee Otis Stacy, 67, of Jolo, who died Wednesday morning, March 6, at his home after a long illness.
Revs. McGinnis Rife, Booker Rife and John Askers will officiate from the Church of the Living God, Jolo. Burial will follow in the Cooper Cemetery, at Stateline Ridge, near Paynesville.
Born May 24, 1917 in Buchanan County, VA, he was a son of the late William Stacy and Eva Blankenship Stacy. He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Church of the Living God at Jolo.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Rife Stacy, two sons; and one brother.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Traylor of Kingsport, TN, Gay Rodgers of Jefferson, OH, Lorene Stacy of Arlington, VA, and Josephine Taylor of Ijamesville, MD; 9 sons, Woody Stacy, Terry Stacy, Howard W. Stacy, Curtis Stacy, Otis Stacy and Coy Stacy, all of Three Forks, Darrell Stacy of War, Roger Stacy of Raysal, Denny Stacy of Trinity, NC; his stepmother Mrs. Laura Stacy of Ikes Fork; three brothers, Sidney Stacy of Twin Falls, Ance Stacy and William Stacy Jr., both of Paynesville; five half brothers, Estil Stacy and Carl Stacy, both of Justice, Kermit Stacy of Cleveland, OH, Sterial Stacy of Northeast Maryland, and Carmen Stacy of Delaware; five sisters, Mrs. Spicey Mullins of Paynesville, MRs. Sarah Rife of Bramwell, Mrs. Edna Morgan of Bluefield, VA, MRs. Marie Daugherty of Ikes Fork, and Mrs. Ocie Blankenship of Twin Falls; three half sisters, Mrs. Vagial Church of Iaeger, Mrs. Linda Roberts of Ikes Fork, and Mrs. Delorise Morgan of Manassas, VA; 23 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the church after 4 p.m. today.
Buchanan County Funeral Home, Keen Mountain, VA, has charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Leon Clark, Leonard Cooper, Robert Cole, David Cole, Dean Horn and Matthew Pruitt.
