Dorothy Ann Frieda Biedenbach, age 79, of Caldwell, Ohio, died Friday, March 28, 2008, at Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville, Ohio. She was born February 2, 1929, near Summerfield, Ohio, daughter of the late Harry and Clara Ritterbeck Sorg. She was a graduate of Summerfield High School. She was formerly employed as a secretary at Ladd Air Force Base in Alaska, and she was also a secretary for Biedenbach Logging Service, Sarahsville. Along with her husband, she operated a dairy farm for many years, and she was a beloved homemaker and mother. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caldwell, and its Catholic Women's Club. She enjoyed making rugs on her loom, gardening, sewing, quilting, crocheting, and watching and feeding birds. She loved her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul J. Biedenbach, whom she married May 13, 1948, and who died March 20, 2008; one sister, Ruth Sorg Crock; and three brothers, Earl, Virgil, and Clyde Sorg.

Surviving are her children, Barbara (Robert) Huffman of Lowell, Beverly (Ron) Harmon of Caldwell, Stephen (Sue) Biedenbach of Caldwell, David (Veronica) Biedenbach of Sarahsville, Mary (Jay) Hendershot of Sarahsville, Linda (Scott) Radcliff of Bridgeport, West Virginia, John (Donna) Biedenbach of Sarahsville, Marcia (Robert) Thompson of Sherrodsville, Elizabeth (Greg) Steed of Sarahsville, and Rita (Dave) McKee of Caldwell; 33 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends may call Sunday, March 30, 2008, from 2-8PM at McVay-Perkins Funeral Home, 416 East Street, Caldwell, where a Christian Scripture Service and Rosary will follow visitation at 8PM. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be held Monday, March 31st at 10AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church, Caldwell, with Rev. Father Thomas Hamm, Jr. and Rev. Father David Huffman as celebrants. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Caldwell.
