Mrs. Sarah Jane Baxley Daniels, wife of the late Joseph Preston Daniels, of the Rains section of Marion County died October 27, 1962.
Mrs. Daniels was born in the Jordanville section of Horry County Dec. 24, 1891, a daughter of the late Joseph and Prudence Jordan Baxley. She had made her home in Mullins until two years ago when she moved to Rains. Her husband, the late Mr. Daniels, died October 30, 1956. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mullins.
Surviving are two sons; SSGT. Joseph Franklin Daniels, US Air Force, Japan; Norman Daniels of Conway; two daughters Mrs. Lonnie Bryant of Germany and Mrs. Frank Richardson of Conway; three step sons Morris Daniels of Galivants Ferry, Wade Daniels of Aynor, James Daniels of Rains; three brothers Rollin Baxley, Ford Baxley, W. Freeman Baxley, all of Rt. 1 Galivants Ferry; three sisters Mrs. Lizzie Beverly of Rt. 2 Conway, Mrs. Adeline Cooper of Rt. 1 Galivants Ferry, Mrs. Virginia Jenkins of Rt. 1 Galivants and a large number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
