John Robert Roberts, 71 of Cantonment, FL, died Sunday, November 13, 2005.
John was born July 13, 1934 in Pope County, AR to Lionel Hogan and Nadie Roberts. He served in the Unites States Air Force from February, 1956 to February, 1964. He retired June 30, 1987, from Civil Services at NADEP, NAS Pensacola, as an Electronics Mechanic Foreman. He was a member of Bellview Baptist Church, Pensacola.
His mother, Nadie Roberts, preceded him in death.
John is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sara Frances (Woods) Roberts; three children, Diana D. Roberts, Keith H. Roberts (Lisa) and Mark A. Roberts (Laurel); four grandchildren, Zachary, Katlyn, Brian and Rachel Roberts; brother, James Roberts; sister, NeWanda Mathis; nieces, Terri Blasingame, Suzie Roberts and Cindy Mills; nephew, James G. Lafferty; two great-nieces and two great-nephews.
Pallbearers will be Keith, Mark, Zachary and Brian Roberts, James Lafferty, Randle Meadows and Dan Paul.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Bellview Baptist Church, Pensacola, with Dr. Gregg McBride officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
