Note: Family information indicates that Greenbury Walters was born in Jefferson Co., Tenn., but he is listed in the census as being born in Alabama. The census of his children list their father as being born in various places, including Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky and Pennsylvania which indicates to me that even then there was some confusion as to his birthplace.
