Masonic graveside services will be in Morton Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home of Muleshoe.
He died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at Lubbock Hospitality House.
He was born May 6, 1907, in Ratliff, Miss. He married Opal Cox on Feb. 11, 1932, in Portales, N.M. She died July 9, 1999. He was a resident of the Morton community since 1929, moving from Grayson County.
He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church of Morton and Morton Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include a son, Ray Tucker of College Station; a daughter, Shirley Hamlin of Lubbock; a brother, Guy L. Tucker of Columbus, Ga.; eight grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
