O'BRIEN

Veronica O'Brien, 84, died
peacefully at home March 6,
2005. Veronica was born, raised
and educated in Oklahoma. She
graduated from the University of
Oklahoma with a double major in
English and Latin. She was the
first college graduate in her
family.

Veronica began her career as a
teacher, however she changed her
direction and began working as a
medical assistant. Veronica was
State President of American
Association of Medical Assistants.
The year she was State President
the National Convention was held
in OKC. This activity was an
important part of her life.

Her husband, C.E. "Gene" O'Brien
supported and encouraged her
throughout. For over 30 years she
was office manager for
C. Jack Young, M.D.

Veronica is preceded in death by
her husband, Charles E. "Gene"
O'Brien. She is survived by her
sister, Ramona McDonald; nieces,
Lil Ross and her husband William,
of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mary
Alice Renner and her husband,
Edward, of Ft Worth, Texas;
nephews, William Hubbard and
his wife Janet of Seaford,
Delaware and Michael Tracy and
his wife Lyne of Oklahoma City,
Oklahoma; five great nieces and
two great nephews, five
great great nieces and seven
great great nephews.

A wake service will be held at
7:00 pm Tuesday, March 8, 2005
at Smith & Kernke 14624 N May.
A Mass of Christian Burial will
be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday,
March 9, 2005 at Christ the King
Catholic Church. Interment will
follow at Rose Hill Burial Park in
the Garden of the Shepherd.
