ARTHUR J. SNYDER
A former conservation law enforcement officer, Arthur J. Snyder, 87, of 94 Red Bud Dr., Dansville, died Jan 24,1982 in the Bath Veterans Hospital. He was a World War I veteran with service in the St. Mihiel salient and the Meuse-Argone offensive which ended that war. He was one of the organizers and the first commander of a Nunda Veterans of Foreign Wars Post. He was a past commander of a Geneseo American Legion Post. Mr. Snyder served as a conservation law enforcement officer for Region Eight, Department of Environmental Conservation, for 25 years before his retirement in 1945. He was a member of the Dansville Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Evelyn McDowell Snyder, and a sister, Marion Snyder of Rochester, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service was conducted Jan. 26 in Geneseo. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dansville Ambulance Fund or the Military and Veterans Hospital of the Masonic Brotherhood Fund
