Audie Lee Hatton, 54 was born to Lorene (Hurley) Hatton & George Hatton on November 30, 1954 in Berea, KY and departed this life at his home surrounded by his family and friends on June 5, 2009.

Audie was preceded in death by his mother- Lorene Hatton; by his maternal grandparents- Fannie & Audie Hurley and by his paternal grandparents- Nancy & Lee Hatton.

Audie is survived by his wife 36 years, Verla Mae (VanWinkle) Hatton; by two children- Verla Renee Riley of McKee; by one son- Audie Lee Hatton Jr. (Lee Jay) of McKee and by one son-in-law- Russell Allen Riley of McKee. He was blessed with three grandchildren- Samantha Loren Riley of McKee, Megan Marie Riley of Berea and Shane Allen Riley of Lexington. He is also survived by his father- George Albert Hatton; by his step-mother- Zella (Rader) Hatton; by two brothers- David Anthony Hatton & Thelma of McKee and Fredrick Lewis Hatton & Brenda of Livingston and by three sisters- Carol Isaacs & Ricky, Kim Mullins & Mike and Katrina Webb & Marvin all of McKee. He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and many wonderful friends.


Funeral service were held 2:00 PM Sunday, June 7, 2009 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Sill Lee, Bro. Bob Northern, Bro. Ralph Chasteen & Bro. Larry Gray officiating. Burial followed in the Tacky – Shack Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
