Officiating was Dr. Roger Freeman, pastor of First Baptist Church in New Orleans, where Mrs. Gardner was a member for 67 years. Mrs. Gardner died February 17, in Taccoa, Georgia. She was the wife of the late Lawrence C. Gardner. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Mae G. Peyronnin of Harahan, La., Theresa G. Burnes of Clayton, Georgia; five grandchildren, Mark, Paul, and Karl Peyronnin of Harahan, La., Jacee Burnes, and Brannon Burnes of Clayton, Georgia; two sisters, Lois B. Holland, and Lena B. Chronister of Newville, Pennsylvania.
