Rev. Billy Dean Holcomb, 72, 27 Apr 1930 of Guin died Sunday, May 12, 2002, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2002, at the Center United Methodist Church with burial in Center Cemetery.
He attended Walker College in Jasper. He was pastor of Center Station United Methodist Church of Winfield and ministered for 39 years at Bremen, Lamon Chapel, Double Springs, Marguron, Beaverton, Union Chapel, Union Grove, Sumiton, and Boldo Methodist Churches.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Alexander Holcomb and Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Weeks Holcomb; two brothers, Addison and Harold Holcomb; four sisters, Evelyn Porter, Mary Kate Morrow, Robbie Ballew and Dorothy Gray Pugh.
He is survived by his wife, Robbie Peoples Holcomb of Guin; three sons, Gary Dean Holcomb and his wife, Margaret and Anthony Hall, all of Guin, Randy Holcomb and his wife, Cindy of Stephenson, Mich.; two daughters, Carol Brasseal and her husband, Bill of Brilliant and Regina Lynn Anderson and her husband, Maury of Adamsville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Sonny Holcomb of Hueytown; and several other relatives.
