Richard Francis Brown, 67, of 246 Wayt St., died Sunday evening (Dec. 22, 1968) at his residence.
Mr. Brown was born in Staunton Jan. 28, 1901, a son of the late Bartholomew and Ellen (Sullivan) Brown. He was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church and was educated in the St. Francis Parochial School and Staunton public schools. At the time of his death, Mr. Brown was a plumbing and heating contractor and prior to that was employed by E.I. DuPont for many years.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ernestine (Smith) Brown, one son, Richard M. Brown of Cheriton; one daughter, Mrs. Alden S. Anderson Jr. of Staunton; a sister Miss Aileen Brown of Roanoke; a brother, Bernard A. Brown of Waynesboro, and five grandchildren. Another brother, Thomas P. Brown died Dec. 13, 1968.
Burial will be in Thornrose Cemetery.
