Jerry opened and operated a machine shop in Stockton, California, American Metal Crafters. He had many employees and was doing very well, until Jerry's cancer. The Business hung on through the early stages of his illness but failed when he was unable to spend the time needed to keep it profitable as Jerry was the company. He was also hounded by the IRS as he was fighting cancer which wore him weak with worry.
His brother Doug told Jerry Nell that Jerry was the big brother, he went first to show us the way. We love him and will always miss him. Cancer can not take away memories.
Jerry asked for his ashes to be spread in the mountains above Kennedy Meadows in his favorite spot he hunted deer. He would live and work yearly to find the time to ride his horse Copper into the back country to find the peace life did not give him. It is here he rests peacefully through eternity.
