Blanka Atwood, age 101, a resident of the Irvine Health & Rehabilitation Center, passed away Friday, June 29, 2012, at the center after a long illness. She was born July 30, 1910 and had lived in Estill County for the past forty years. She attended the South Irvine Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, two sons, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
