After a brief illness, Mrs. Louisa Seidel Potteiger (nee Kissinger), aged 78 years, 8 months and 14 days, widow of Amos W. Potteiger, and who was well known in the county and city, died of heart trouble at 5.15 p.m. Thursday, at her home, 310 Penn street. Deceased was born and reared in this city, and for the past 40 years resided at her late home. Mrs. Potteiger was married in 1849 by Rev. Jacob Miller, a former pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church, and was preceded in death by her husband 10 years. Deceased was an esteemed member of St. John's German Lutheran Church.
Besides one son, Samuel N. Potteiger, a member of the Berks Bar, and a son-in-law, George E. Haak, both of whom live with her, Mrs. Potteiger is survived by a sister, Mrs. Charles S. Bird, of this city.
