Services for Virginia R. Allbee of McMinnville were held this morning in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, McMinnville. Bishop John Phillips officiated.

Private interment was in Alamosa Cemetery, Alamosa, Colo.

Mrs. Allbee died of natural causes Jan. 14, 2002, in Oakwood Country Place. She was 69.

Born April 11, 1932, in Clayton, N.M., she was the daughter of William and Dorothy Sellers Smith. She grew up in Alamosa.

She and Ron Allbee were married in 1950.

They moved to California, where they lived until 1973. They moved to Dayton, then in 1978 to McMinnville.

She and Nolan Hermens were married July 27, 1984, in Vancouver, Wash.

Mrs. Allbee became co-owner of Quality Plus Temporary Employment Agency in McMinnville in 1989. She retired in 1997.

She enjoyed reading and traveling to the beach in their motor home. Relatives described her as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in McMinnville.

Survivors include her husband, Nolan Hermans of McMinnville; a daughter, Deana Hundven of Gig Harbor, Wash.; three sons, Greg Allbee of Moreno Valley, Calif., Skip Allbee of Magna, Utah, and Willie Allbee of San Antonio, Texas; a sister, Lorraine Ehardt of Monte Vista, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Julie Anderson of McMinnville; four stepsons, Glen Hermens of McMinnville, Doug Hermens of Rainier, Bob Hermens of Portland and John Dinsmore of Eugene; and 25 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband in 1981 and by a son.

Arrangements were under the direction of Macy & Son Funeral Directors.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of Macy & Son, 135 N.E. Evans St., McMinnville, OR 97128.
