Sarah Medora Rogers was the daughter of Joseph Ives Rogers and Caroline Amelia [SMITH] Rogers of Downers Grove, DuPage County, Illinois. Sarah married Capt. John Allen Kinley of Company K, 8th Illinois Cavalry on Dec. 17, 1863 in Downers Grove, DuPage county, Illinois. Together they had three children: Frank A. "Frankie" Kinley, Lorena May [KINLEY] Lawrence, and Arthur Roy Kinley, Sr. Sarah was preceeded in death by her husband, Capt. John Allen Kinley and her son, Frank A. "Frankie" Kinley. All are buried in the KINLEY plot at Spring Lake Cemetery in Aurora, Kane County, Illinois.
