PAYNE, Mrs. Mattie Baker, age 49, passed away at her home Sunday morning 5342 Willis . Survived by her husband, the Rev. O. C. Payne, Pastor of the Cole Avenue Baptist Church; one daughter, Miss Elizabeth; two sons, W. Arch and Oscar Jr. of Dallas; two sisters: Mrs. Geo H. Denning, Crockett, Texas; Mrs. Carter Anderson, Paris, five brothers; Tucker Baker of Dallas, Harry Baker of Sacramento, Cal., D. E. Baker, Washington D. C., John & A. C. both of Crockett. Cortege will leave residence 9:30 a.m. Monday. Services at the Cole Avenue Baptist Church at 10 a.m., the Rev. Jeff D. Ray, officiating. Pallbearers: D. W. Campbell, J. B. Hickman, A. C. Walker, J. Mrs. Oscar C. Payne - Mr and Mrs. Geo. H. Denny and Messrs. John F. and Arch Baker were called to Dallas Sunday morning by the death of their sister, Mrs. O. C. Payne, which occurred Saturday night. Funeral services were held in Dallas at 10 o'clock Monday morning. Mrs. Payne was reared in Crockett and before her marriage to Rev. O. C. Payne was Miss Mittie Baker.
