Michael Allen Lane, 35, died on Wednesday, May 20, 2009.

He was born December 3, 1973, at Scott Air Force Base in Belleville, Illinois. He attended public school in Pueblo, Colorado and Bridge City, Texas. He graduated from Bridge City High School in 1992. He loved and excelled in BMX bike racing as a young boy and won a room full of 1st place trophies during this time.

Mike possessed a natural ability in art and won 2nd place at the Houston Regional Art Fair. Mike had been an avid fisherman since catching a 22 inch flounder at Bailey's Boat Dock when he was 10 years old.

He married the love of his life, Vicki Galbraith on July 24, 2003. He leaves behind his son Taylor, whom he loved dearly.

Mike is survived by his wife, Vicki; son, Taylor; parents, Walter and Patty Lane; sister, Chrissy LaComb and her husband Jarred; brother, Bill Hansen and his wife Barbara; nieces, Cambree and Tara; nephew, Thomas; Aunt Nancy, Aunt Terry, Aunt Marilyn and Aunt Dot and a host of friends.

A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2009, at Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Funeral services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home with Pastor Bud Davis officiating.

Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City. A college savings fund has been set up for his son Taylor, at 5 Point Credit Union, account number 4578677. We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Taylor, in this tough time in his life.
