Services for J L "Jim" Brooks, 46, of 363 Riverside Drive, Oak View, will be at 2 pm Friday in Waters Ojai Valley Chapel with the Rev. Pat Boggs officiating. Burial will be in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park.
Mr Brooks died Wednesday in his home after a long illness. He was born June 25, 1927, in Leachville, Ark. A nine-year resident of Oak View, he had been a derrick hand for Loffland Brothers Drilling Co.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Lee; daughters, Miss Debbie Raphael and Miss Tammy Brooks, and a son, Michael Fiorentino, all living at home in Oak View; brothers, Bob of Richland, Mich., Kenny of Florida; sisters, Mrs Canada Swinhart, Mrs Ina Gardner and Mrs Melba Swen, all of Plain Well, Mich.; and his mother, Mrs Ella Erigson of Arkansas.
