"Ruthie" was taken from us too soon at age 18. She died at St Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO, from injuries suffered from being involved in a car accident which occurred one day before she was to graduate. She had been voted the "most outstanding" girl in the 1976 graduating class at Nevada High School. Ruthie had received several scholarships and was to enroll in the University of Missouri, Columbia, in the Fall.

Ruthie was an organ donor, still giving even after life.

Ruthie was a member of the Assembly of God Church of El Dorado Springs, MO. She was engaged to Vernon Carney of Carthage, MO.

She left behind loving parents; Norma and Lee R. McIntire, one sister, Sharon L.(McIntire) Beshears, and 4 brothers; Lee R, Jr, Charles D, Harley J., Kenneth R.
