A lifetime resident of this county, Mrs. Evans had been a patient at the nursing home for the past three months.
He was born Jan 4, 1873 to Samuel and Elizabeth (Weiss) Evans. On Dec. 24, 1894, he was married to Harriet Phenegar. She died Nov. 30, 1953.
Surviving are a son, Paul of North Manchester; a daughter, Mrs. Blanch Fitton, Route 5, Warsaw; two brothers, Howard and Clarence, both of Warsaw; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the L. J. Bibler and Son funeral home in Warsaw. Rev. O. L. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove cemetery southeast of Warsaw. friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday and until the hour of service Monday.
