1947 OBIT - Mrs. J.N. Ware Dies in Canton
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. from the Salem Presbyterian church for Mrs. J.N. Ware, 79, who died Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. S.R. Brown, after an illness of a few days. Rev. J.O. Ware, Pelehatchie, will officiate and interment will be in the Salem cemetery. The body will lie in state at Wright and Ferguson until the funeral hour. Mrs. Ware, a former resident of Montrose in Jasper county, had for the past 20 years made her home in Canton. She was a member of the Methodist church of Canton. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Brown, Canton; Mrs. Pearl Ware Mapp, Atlanta; Mrs. O.N. Pruitt, Columbus; five sons, the Rev. W.N. Ware, Evanston; Ill.; R.L. Ware, Harperville; the Rev. J.O. Ware, Pelehatchie; O.P. Ware, Ennis, Texas and W.C. Ware, Bay Springs and one sister, Mrs J.C. Ellis, New Agusta.
