Services will be held Sunday, Oct. 3, at 4 p.m. in Bright-Holland Funeral Home chapel with with the Rev. Ralph Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Union Hill Cemetery, Taylortown.
Mrs. Abbott was born July 1, 1903 in Taylortown, a daughter of John Gordon and Addie Hatch Gordon. She married Josh Abbott in October of 1929 in Hugo, Okia.
She was preceded in death by her husband in May of 1990.
She is survived by a son, Perry Abbott of Arlington; a daughter, Gwendolyn Steinbock of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Oscar Gordon of Paris and Roy Gordon of Dallas; a sister, Lena Ruthart of Muleshoe, Texas; two grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
